This is the most challenging programme the Church of North India has ever faced. The programme is working through the Regional Boards of Health Services along with the Dioceses. Synodical Board of Health Services (SBHS), Church of North India (CNI) is working through different programmes to spread awareness among the urban and rural population both independently as well as through networking with the Government as well as other Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs). |

Objectives of AIDS Programme |

To increase awareness in the communities regarding HIV/AIDS -its etiology, modes of transmission, signs and symptoms, prevention and care etc. |

To bring about a change in the behaviour of women as housewives, working women, women in prostitution, tribal women, young women and adolescent girls. To empower women to take decisions about themselves and other family members especially their children so that they can be protected from HIV/AIDS. |
