There is light in darkness and there can be an end to pain and injustice because we have HOPE. Hope leads us to RENEWAL. The hope that I talk about is not 'wishful thinking' but the hope that has come through the sacrifice JESUS made for us by giving HIS own life that faced so much of suffering and pain. This hope is definite, it is powerful so it gives strength. "Through Him you have confidence in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God."(1 Peter 1:21) With hope, we need to be strong in our faith and our faith leads us to renewal.
We need to be reorganised to be able to rededicate and recommit ourselves. We need to either repair, if repairable or redesign our own woven ideologies, outlook, criteria, statements and guidelines that we have been wearing for years. Easter reminds us of renewal and so the best way is to change the design or outfit to give it an attractive look.
Let hope be our tailor and let us be the designers to give ourselves a renewed look. "Put off your old nature which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful lust and be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and put on the new nature, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness." (Ephesians 4: 22-23) |
