SBHS encourages and nurtures the members of Christian Community in training for services in Healing Ministry of CNI. The medical students, the nursing students and the allied health sciences students are sponsored in two Medical Colleges namely Christian Medical College, Vellore and Christian Medical College, Ludhiana and in the Schools of nursing attached to Mission Hospitals of CNI. |

To support the Christian students coming from the lower socio-economic stratum of society; |

To cater for Christian students belonging to the Church of North India and aspiring to become Medical / Nursing / Para Medical professionals; |

The SBHS to work in unison with the Regional Boards of Health Services for preparing future leadership; |

To inculcate leadership qualities which can be used for holistic avocations; |
