  “Kehta Hai Dilwaala”
Changing the face of Cinema from mere entertainment to education
On the eve of the World AIDS Day, December 1, 2004 the CNI SBHS premiered a 12 minute parodi ‘Kehta Hai Dilwaala” on HIV/AIDS, Drugs and Alcohol Awareness based on the song ‘Dil ka haal sune dilwaala’ from Shri 420 the movie by Late Shri Raj Kapoor.

This being a popular song of yesteryear that has come into life once again to pour out a positive message that can help bring about a change in people’s attitude and life style.

We are very grateful to Mr. Ankur Nayyar, our hero, a famous artist from serials, ‘Des mein nikla hoga chaand’, ‘Reth’and ‘Kashmir’ fame to lend his whole hearted support to the cause of HIV/AIDS.

The film received overwhelming response from all the quarters of the society. Especially the school students who were also involved in spreading HIV/AIDS awareness message through performing arts.

This film is funded by Dr. James Vijaykumar, Regional Secretary, Global Ministries Board, United Church of Christ, Cleveland; Debra Frantz, Programme Associate, South Asian Region, Wider Ministries and Mr. A. R. Nanda, Director, Population Foundation of India, New Delhi.
